Herba Re-Leaf’s Mit Quick Pump- A guide to use, troubleshooting, and why it stands above other extracts

Herba Re-Leaf’s Mit Quick pump hit the market in April of 2023, and oh boy, did it make an entrance. In the ever-evolving space that botanical extracts occupy, it’s always hard to discern if new items are sloppily thrown-together imposters or an authentic and carefully cultivated industry interrupter, but we’re here to tell you exactly why this product is certainly worth checking out.

If we look at the concrete facts about consuming mitragyna speciosa powder, it is clear that finding a more streamlined and efficient way to utilize the alkaloids in mitragyna speciosa can benefit a lot of consumers. To start, consuming any amount of raw plant matter involves dealing with the taste, measuring out doses, and for many, digestive troubles that come along with taking powder. In addition, when we consume plain leaf mitragyna speciosa powder, our bodies are only able to fully utilize about 10-15% of the alkaloids we’re ingesting. When we choose the Mit Quick, the taste is much more palatable, the doses are perfectly measured every time, and, because it is absorbed via stomach enzymes rather than needing to be digested, we can avoid any digestive discomfort AND fully utilize between 60-70% of the alkaloids we are ingesting. In essence, we are taking less and feeling MORE.  The increased bioavailability means that within 120 seconds of taking Mit Quick, it’s been fully absorbed into our system, and within 5 minutes, you will have full effects. It is quite literally the fastest and most efficient way to take mitragyna speciosa.

How was this accomplished, you may ask? Well, Cory and Austin Kilheeney have spent countless hours in labs and in meetings with their biopharma partners working tirelessly to bring this product to fruition. They knew there had to be a better way to consume mitragyna speciosa, and that they could not only cut out the extra unnecessary bits, but highlight the most important aspects of the plant at the same time. This includes all the minor alkaloids present in the raw plant that they were able to extract and keep in responsible levels in this extract product. They spent thousands in R&D to find the right bottles that not only held this bioavailable and potent extract in secure, childproof, tamper evident bottles, but that would work as efficiently as possible with as few mechanical issues as possible.

How to use the Mit Quick Pump:

  • Hold the bottle with the spout pointing downward at a 45 degree angle, pointing underneath your tongue, with the section of the bottle directly underneath the spout resting on your bottom lip.
  • Press the top down completely, using gravity to direct the extract to the desired position. Keep in mind that there is no “spray” or propulsion action to these bottles, and the extract will not be shot out of the bottle with any considerable amount of force.
  • Use your bottom lip to ‘squeegee’ any extract that may dribble onto the bottle into your mouth.
  • Hold the extract in that position for at least 30 seconds, then swallow. Some like to follow their dose with a drink to wash it down.

How many pumps should I take?

Because of the technology used to make Mit Quick, there is nothing quite like it on the market. This tech makes Mit Quick more bioavailable than quite literally every other mode of delivery offered for mitragyna speciosa products, which makes it impossible to compare to anything else when it comes to tolerance or dosing. It is for this reason that we strongly encourage everyone trying it for the first time to start with just one pump and slowly work your way up to find your perfect dosage. The product will fully absorb through stomach enzymes within 120 seconds, and full effects should be present within 5 minutes of dosing, making it the fastest working extract on the market and incredibly easy to slowly step into.

Should you run into any issues with your bottle, don’t panic! These bottles are simple machines chosen for the fact that they can handle the thicker density of the Mit Quick liquid, which is more akin to a serum than any sort of liquid. The spray bottles they tested during R&D would clog after a few uses, and wouldn’t put out the same amount of product with each use. Because of this, the bottles chosen are truly simple machines and may incur simple malfunctions from time to time. 9.5 times out of 10, these malfunctions can be remedied with a few easy troubleshooting steps.

Mit Quick Troubleshooting Tips:

Point the spout downward at a 45 degree angle, pointed into your mouth and under your tongue to use- It is important to note that the pump will not have any propulsion action to it, meaning it will not spray out with any force when the top is depressed. The liquid extract the Mit Quick is made with is thicker than other liquid extracts, and more like a serum than a beverage. Because of this, the bottle needs the help of gravity to get the product where it needs to go. Rest your bottom lip on the section of the bottle right below the spout, and point it under your tongue while at an angle for most accurate placement. You can then use your bottom lip to kind of scoop any liquid that may dribble down into your mouth as well.

Opening the bottle Hold bottle with one hand on the cap (top portion) and one on the bottom. Hold cap steady and using bottom hand, turn bottle clockwise. The cap should disengage from the bottle and slide off with ease.

Make sure you’ve primed your pump- The first time you use your Mit Quick pump, you may need to prime the bottle. Simply push down on the top of the pump, with ample force, to push the air out of the line and initiate the release of the product. To avoid losing any product, point the pump spout into a spoon to collect any extract that may release before you’re ready. You can also roll your bottle on a flat surface before priming and then leave it standing up vertically (right side up) to encourage the release of all the air in the tube. Some bottles need more pumps than others to get started, as traveling through various altitudes during transit may push more air into the tube.

Lay the bottle flat on a table or other stable surface, and roll it back and forth for a bit- Then stand it upright, pump top facing upwards, and tap it a few times on the level surface. Then proceed to pump. This action may help the liquid settle to the optimal position for use.

Ensure the pump spout is clear of any obstructions- While it is very rare, pressure and altitude changes while in transit may sometimes force liquid up through the tube that then settles in the pump top. Simply clearing the hole with a toothpick or other small, pointed item may clear the issue and help get your pump back to working order. This may also occur after some regular use of the pump, as temperature fluctuations may cause extract to change viscosity once it’s been pumped through the tube and pump spout. You can also pop the very top of the pump off (just the spout piece, NOT the whole top piece that’s secured into the chamber that holds the liquid extract) and clean that out as well if you feel your Mit Quick is not working correctly.

***It is very important you do NOT separate the secured pump top from the chamber/rest of the bottle, as doing so will negate any warranty Herba Re-Leaf will fulfill for bottles deemed to be malfunctioning.***
