Whether you have just happened upon us, or have been a customer since the OG MBC days, we have a feeling you will be elated to try out our Premium Plain Leaf strains and add them to your botanical routine. We pride ourselves in our long standing relationship with kratom farmers and the ethical harvesting of our plain leaf kratom- and we INSIST on keeping them at affordable and accessible pricing for all. You may find yourself asking, ‘how on earth are they able to sell this at such an insane price?’ Well the truth is, we simply refuse to mark things up beyond reasonable pricing and we truly aim to keep high quality botanicals attainable for all.
So where does one start, when choosing a strain of ktea from a list on a new vendor site? We would be happy to talk you through what we recommend. Simply put, the names of kratom strains do not hold as much weight as they once did. Traditionally, the names “Indo”, “Bali” and “Maeng Da” used to denote the region from which the leaves in that bag came from. These days, about 90% of all kratom powder comes from the same handful of areas in Southeast Asia. The names associated with different strains will largely depend on the vendor you are shopping with, and how they blend and prepare their powder. For example, early on in my kratom journey, I stuck mainly to a Red Bali strain; a nice red that was perfect for easing my stress and helping me relax at night. It was quite a rude awakening when I learned that ‘Red Bali’ didn’t always mean the same thing from one source to the next. I learned the hard way that while it IS in fact a pure red strain with most vendors, some use the name for red/white mixes, and I wound up with a very large bag of powder that was way too energetic for nighttime relaxation. Lesson learned- take less weight in the NAME of the strain and more in the color make-up of the powder that is inside that particular strain or blend. Most vendors have their own recipes for different blends and often, that will be different from one vendor to another.
We have taken the time to list out what colors you can expect in each of our strains/blends, as well as compiling data from a group of longtime customers who rated them on different effects based on their own experiences.
